Newsflash: Upgrade of EMCS to Phase 4.1

On Tuesday, 13/02/2024, EMCS will be upgraded to Phase 4.1 in all member states. EMCS is the customs platform for excise goods. Unlike the other new customs systems, this upgrade does not include a transition phase.

So it is very important to take this into account when sending out your orders. Ideally, you should contact us in the days before the upgrade.

Planning for the new declaration systems was also readjusted. We are happy to give you an overview:

• IDMS: transition window changed from 28/02/2024 to 31/05/2024
• AES: transition window from 13/02/2024 to 30/06/2024 (no change)
• NCTS P5: transition window changed from 10/06/2024 to 30/09/2024
• PN Maritime: transition window from 05/07/2023 to 30/09/2024
• TS Maritime: transition window from 29/11/2023 to 30/09/2024
